TV Tropes Will Ruin Your Life
« on: June 16, 2017, 09:55:53 PM »
Yes, TV Tropes will ruin your life - it's happened to me, it's happened to you (don't try to deny it, we both know it's true). Usually when it happens I go down a rabbit hole for several hours and/or days, why even lie? For those of you lucky enough not to know what a TV Trope is (sorry, not sorry, you're going down with me!) , TV Tropes is a wiki that collects and expands descriptions and examples on various conventions, devices, and stereotypes found within creative works (videogames, movies, tv shows, mangas, literary, etc).

The premise of the game is simple: select ONE TV Trope for the character above and explain why you chose that Trope for them. It'll be fun to see how your character comes across to other people. So, let's get started!

Obviously, THRP is the Omnipotent.
Virtually all-powerful and all-knowing, THRP knows no limit or range to their reality warp, extending to all of existence itself. Nothing can challenge them, and they can literally do anything and everything, logic and causality be damned! Of course, THRP keeps most of Tolkien's work canonical, but creates alternate universes where chaos can continue to ensue as it sees fit.

Acadius is Grumpy Bear

Why? Because Acadius is Mr. Grumpy-Pants who is super cynical about the world around him.

I'm probably butchering this, being new and so having to browse for first fitting I found but I think Celeborn is...

Big Fancy Castle trope.

Why, all of Lothlorien is their castle really, I mean where are the boundaries? A bit much :D

I think Dagmar fits the Adorkable trope. She may be a proper lady but she has her mishaps and she's the cutest!

Leander Boffin displays Drowning my Sorrows
Leander has had a troubled and difficult life which has made him prone to drinking his problems away. While I wouldn't outright consider him an alcoholic at this point, though there is danger of him developing that problem.
