Author Topic: (Suggestion) Not necessarily having to use a real person as a face claim  (Read 245 times)

Alright so, my suggestion is that we are allowed to use art/screenshots for a face claim for our characters. I am not saying that someone can't use a real person as a face claim, but just allowing these as an alternative option to using a celebrity as a face claim(since for me at least it is easier to make a face claim in Skyrim rather than finding celebrities since I don't follow entertainment that much).

Hi thatguy2, thanks for taking the time to make your suggestion!

I appreciate that not everyone follows entertainment/celebrities (indeed, I am one such person) but there are a great many resources available to those looking for a suitable face claim.  Here are some of my favourites:

•  Angel Dust
•  Jelly Fish Faces
•  Lazy Resources
•  RP Helper

I also have a thread dedicated to helping THRP members find suitable face claims.

In order to cater to those who prefer using other forms of media to represent their characters, we do accept art (credited and/or used with the artist’ permission), screenshots, etc. in avatars and signatures.  It is only in the case of humanoid characters that we require a play-by of similar appearance be named in the application.  Some roleplayers are very visual people and this helps them picture the character in question.

I understand. For the image in the character sheet though, does it have to be of the celebrity/face claim?

Preferably, yes.  It will provide a real-life visual for those viewing the application.
