  • Guiga: As for the old Lake-town plot. It was about a revolt against the Master by the people due to taxes and such one year before the events of the movies. It was very interesting.

  • Guiga: I did write you a PM just after Becca’s. Strange. It was very late that night and maybe I forgot to hit send before logging out, but that character is on hold. So don’t worry.

  • Guiga: I was wondering if I could reopen or restart from scratch that old plot about the rebellion against the Master of Lake-town we used to have a long time ago and which would be best. I’m not even sure how many inhabitants of Esgaroth we have in play anymore. I’ll have to look into it, but that was an interesting plot.

  • Hera: Amarthal's lovely, dear. Thank you. Just one problem, you just killed Berthrien's whole family! Elladan would never leave her alone in the wilds after that. His talk to Elrond will have to happen a lot before I first imagined because he'd take her to Rivendell as soon as she was able to travel. Something I'll have to think about later.

Watcher of the Hills
« on: January 14, 2015, 02:10:00 AM »

Féren is a hard-working dwarf who has been through a lot of trouble in life to secure his position as a high-ranked general in Dáin’s armies. He is quite fond of the earthy things of life: his family, friends, and adventure, as long as nobody dies. However, this general does not tolerate scoundrels much, especially not after his latest misadventures when it was mere bandits that ganged up with some Orcs to catch him and teach him a gruesome lesson. Otherwise, he is quite merry and kind, especially with younger folk.

Féren’s mostly been in the surroundings of the Iron Hills throughout his life, except from some scouting expeditions around Rhûn and Laketown of course. He lives in a rather large household in the outer edges of the Hills. So, most chances say that unless you’ve had a bad choice of life, if you’re a Dwarf, he’s your ally. And most chances say that unless you’ve proven yourself otherwise, if you’re a Man, he’ll distrust you. The only Men he can tolerate, and only as an act of gratitude, are a particular tribe of Easterlings that took him in from a few days after he escaped from the Orc den he was kept captive in for months. And of course, if you’re an Elf or an Orc, he will try to slice your head off with an axe.

So, ask ahead! I shall put up a Wanted Ad for his wife, the intelligent and strategic Séla, and his daughters, Míla, Kéra and Dúra, soon enough, but if anyone is interested in antagonizing, befriending, or merely crossing paths with this age-beaten general, do shoot a reply over here or a PM to this account!

So Rian plots?

She was born in the Iron Hills and lived there until she was 18 - which would be 2887. If I'm right Feren was still a blacksmith apprentice until he was 82, which would've been 2891? She might've heard of him since she was interested in forging, but she was likely too sheltered to have met him then, so adult threads. I think it'd be 2924, maybe, when Rian comes up to the Iron Hills for a visit. She'd be trying to keep a low profile and would have dark hair. We've already discussed this bit, Feren might know that there is a thief on the loose. Any ideas/thoughts/preferences as to the exact circumstances? She could pass his estate on the way out again, try to get past without raising suspicions?

All the Rian plots!

18 physically or chronologically? Because as I know it, Dwarves are basically very young children at 18.

But as for older, more recent threads, it'd be very interesting to have Rian pass by Féren's estate...and get caught, maybe even by Féren's adventurous daught Míla, who sounds the alarm and has Rian caught. The guards could work out she could be the thief that nieghbors have been speaking about...and Féren does not like petty thieves much, as discussed previously. Then we could have Rian's cajoling to let her go, and see how the plot thickens!
Of course, if you're up for that.

18 chronologically, so equivalent of six. She'd be pretty tiny.

Ohhh, nice scenario! I'm so up for that, as long as Rian gets away without revealing her real name. Who shall start?

While I am seriously tempted to be lazy and ask you to post the starter, I know you have post overload and therefore I should do what Féren is making me do: be honorable and offer the starter.
